What kind of music would you play in a Cafe?

a Cafe like a coffe shop, maybe or maybe it has burgers and fries and breakfast and dinner, the whole deal. what kind of music would you have? What kind of music would you play in a Cafe?
Salsa or something in that vein would be good.

You want music that is festive but not overwhelming.

You want the music to enhance the atmosphere rather then create it. You want the attention to be on the food, not the music.

Pablo
I would have a mix, something without the lyrics probably, since people like to sit down and talk, That way they wont get distracted with the lyrics of certain songs. Something contemporary and fresh. U might wanna try some kind of French music. What kind of music would you play in a Cafe?
maybe classical or jazz
Cool music. Relaxing music. ahah idk =P
I actually like c/w music, however you would play the type of music that would bring in the type of clientele in which you are seeking to patronize your business.
A mix of Rockabilly(Stray Cats), Alt pop ( think Fountains of Wayne), Alt Country ( Johnny Cash, Classic Rock (Bob Dylan, Foreigner, Queen). I would get an HD Radio with Satellite and an excellent sound system to go with CD's. Skip an internet Jukebox (everybody has them).
probably like top 40, and maybe some alt rock on a friday/saturday night, all depends on the crowd you attract
Romantic Italian songs about Napoli and Sorrento.
blues, jazz and piano music
You should have the customers bring in thier own music and choose something from there.
