Why is Half Life 2 only 9 bucks?

I mean, it's the greatest game I've ever played and it went on Guiness records for being the most popular first-person shooter game. Why only 9 bucks? they should charge more that that. cmon. I saw Burger Shop was like 14 bucks or something and compared to HL2, it's a piece of s.h.i.t.Why is Half Life 2 only 9 bucks?
Marketing strategy! People will say "Oh this is cheap and seems to be a really good game! Ill buy it" Next few days.."Wow! this game is awesome! Ive got to get the second one! And maybe the orange box!"



And it is also very cheap for steam to sell it, all they pay for is bandwith costs.

such a great game the only game i really got into the story line, i cant wait till episode 3
supply and demand. The game is sold online, meaning it costs them nothing to sell it. I bought it when it came out, amazing game. However, those who wanted it already bought it. They need to lower the price to reach an audience not willing to spend more, since they have nothing to lose they lower the price.
Why only 9 bucks?

I ordered yesterday for $5.90
Its a game that's very old now. Very, very old.



Most people who really wanted that game would have gotten it anyway so now, its probably more like to promote it to anyone who haven't played it yet



There's still Episode 3 to come. Would be good to promote the game first.
It was released in 2004, now is 2009, so the price has gone down. Anyway, should'nt you be happy if you were gonna buy it?
